Brent has been a licensed Investment Advisor for over 22 years. Prior to becoming an Independent Financial Advisor in 2012 and establishing Burgesser Wealth Management Inc., Brent spent the majority of his career with Merrill Lynch for 8 years. He worked within the Private Client Group of Morgan Stanley for 4 years, as well as Wells Fargo Advisors where he held the title of Senior Vice President of Investments. He began his career in 1999 at PaineWebber (now UBS) in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Business and Communications from The University of Oklahoma. Brent focuses on portfolio management, tax efficient retirement income strategies, and wealth preservation strategies. His approach is one that emphasizes taking the least amount of risk necessary to realize his client’s financial goals.
Brent is currently working towards his CPWA® Certification (Certified Private Wealth Advisor®). Upon completion of his certification, he will join the ranks of a select few other investment advisors that are associated with Ivy League institutions, specializing in ultra-high net worth clientele.
As a cancer survivor, he's become active within the American Cancer Society, Brain Cancer Society and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He also serves as the President Elect for a 501c3 foundation associated with the Maricopa County, AZ. Chandler - Gilbert Community College, where he also teaches classes in finance and relevant topics.
Brent and his wife Colleen relocated back to Sun Lakes, Arizona to be near family and friends after having spent time living in Dallas, Texas, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. They have a 9 pound Multi-Poo named “Buttercup”, and are active members of the ASPCA. Brent is a member of the City of Chandler Chamber of Commerce. Brent enjoys reading, teaching, and spending time with his family watching movies.
